Growing up in a Christian home, loved by my parents and family, in a safe middle class neighborhood where we rarely locked our doors, I felt protected from the world's darker sides. But in 1981, my own crisis of faith began.
That year, I experienced profound change. A sudden and confusing shift unsettled my mind, making me secretly question everything I had been taught. I didn't tell anyone, but I believed God knew my pain, as I had been taught that He knows everything.
Unable to understand why it happened, I became cynical, angry, and mischievous. Yet, God powerfully reached through to my heart. That same year, I accepted Jesus as my savior. I vividly remember sitting in the church library as the pastor asked me if I believed in God the Father, His son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I affirmed my belief and prayed with him to invite Jesus into my heart as my savior and Lord. I remember the smells, the feelings, and the assurance of safety in Heaven. I was baptized in front of the congregation, pledging to love Jesus for all of my days.

Seeking Jesus…
Even at nine years old, I sought Jesus' love and protection, marking the first day that I trusted in Christ alone-a day I'll never forget. Throughout my life, I've had highs and lows, peaks and valleys. Yet one truth remained constant: Jesus has never left me. He was my steadfast companion when I had no-one else to rely on. I'm thankful for the wisdom of others who Jesus provides us to lean on as well. I have relied on counselors, friends, pastors, and family, but Jesus is always there in the midst of those relationships.
I am forever grateful for my parents, my neighbors, and my church
His Love Letter…
I am convinced that God's Holy word, the Bible, is our instruction manual and love letter, one we need to immerse ourselves in daily. Through prayer and conversations with God about His Word, He has continually revealed Himself to me.
Hi, I’m Carrie
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

My mission is encourage girls to be strong in their faith, knowing that God has a purpose for their lives. With Jesus, Christian friends, and wise spiritual cheerleaders to help her, she can be who God created her to be. Despite the challenges she faces, nothing is impossible with God on her side.
May the reader enjoy learning about the possibility of overcoming her own crises of faith, to heal, and to trust Jesus. May she be so bold as to move forward, overcoming the obstacles that stand in her way.
May she keep her heart and mind on things above where Jesus is seated with God, and not on things of the earth. May she defeat sin and celebrate life triumphantly as a daughter of the one true King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
My Hope For You
May every word I write motivate the reader to claim victory over her life. May she hear me say, "Onward, Christian soldiers! Move forward with unwavering hope and determination!"
I want to support Christian young women advancing in their faith, assured that God prevails in the end. Nothing on this earth can separate us from the love of Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).
No matter what challenges arise, if we know that God is for us, so who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
“We know that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose ”

Scenes…
I live in Mississippi and work out of my home. I very rarely write in my office.
I like to stand up and write at my outdoor kitchen bar or in my indoor kitchen island.
